All offers and sales on automatedtime.be are made by Automated Time. Prices are in euro and include Belgian VAT where applicable; pre-owned watches are generally sold under the margin scheme, in which case no VAT is separately stated or deductible. A sale is concluded once we have confirmed your order and payment has been received in full. Every watch is authenticated and inspected before it is offered and is described as accurately as possible.
Every watch is photographed individually, so what you see is the exact piece you buy. We do our best to picture each watch as accurately as possible, and that is less simple than it sounds. We work with professional equipment and studio lighting, and that honesty cuts both ways: high resolution and strong light can make a faint hairline look like a scratch, while in reality it is barely visible to the eye; occasionally the reverse is true. That is exactly why we take the time to get every photograph right. Want to be certain? Ask us for extra photos or a video or come see the watch in real life.
Watches are shipped fully insured through Malca-Amit and its carrier partners, tracked and handed over against signature. Once a shipment has been handed to the carrier, transit is out of our hands; in our experience deliveries within Europe usually arrive within two working days, and we follow every shipment closely until it has been delivered. The risk transfers to you at the moment of delivery. Collection in Oud-Turnhout, by appointment, is always possible. When a purchase is made by a consumer and the contract was concluded entirely at a distance, the buyer has the statutory right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable consumer law. The conditions, the period, the manner of exercise, the return procedure, the consequences of withdrawal and the model withdrawal form are set out in our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. The direct costs of the return shipment, including a suitable specialist carrier and insurance for the full value, are borne by the consumer. The consumer is also liable for any diminution in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the watch. Personalised items, such as watch rolls embossed to your specification, are exempt from the right of withdrawal.
The statutory warranty under Belgian law applies to every purchase. For pre-owned watches the warranty period is, as expressly agreed and as permitted under Belgian law, limited to one year from delivery; for new, unworn watches the statutory two-year period applies. In addition, every watch, including its movement, is checked before it leaves the house. Should an issue arise, contact us first: in almost every case we solve it faster and better together than any procedure would. We only process the personal data you share with us through the forms on this website or in direct contact: your name, your contact details and the content of your message. We use these solely to answer you and to handle your purchase or sale. We do not sell your data and share them only where necessary for shipping, insurance or payment. Data are kept no longer than needed for these purposes. You may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of your data via info@automatedtime.be. Complaints may be addressed to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
This website places no advertising or tracking cookies. Only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function may be used.
Belgian law applies to every agreement. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Antwerp, division Turnhout, have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of jurisdiction that protect consumers. But truly: talk to us first. We have yet to meet a problem that a conversation could not solve.
