The friendly summary lives on Shipping & Guarantee; this page is the policy itself.
Every watch is carefully packed and shipped exclusively by a secured shipping method and insured for its full value. We work with Malca-Amit, specialists in the worldwide transport of watches, jewellery and precious goods. Your watch is carried through the FedEx network under Malca-Amit’s care: fully insured and tracked along the way, delivered only upon signature. Discreet packaging guarantees your delivery stays private.
The applicable shipping costs and the expected delivery time are clearly communicated before your purchase is completed. Generally, once the payment is received, we ship a watch on the next business day. Every shipment is handed over personally at Malca-Amit in Antwerp. When possible, we bundle these handovers, so a shipment may occasionally leave one business day later. In our experience, deliveries within Europe usually arrive within two business days from shipping at Malca-Amit. While transit times are outside our control once the carrier takes over, please rest assured that we follow every shipment closely until it is delivered to you.
Deliveries are made exclusively to the address linked to the purchase. In-person collection at our location is always available by appointment.
Where a consumer purchases a watch entirely at a distance, he or she has, in accordance with applicable consumer law, a period of fourteen calendar days to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason. The withdrawal period expires fourteen calendar days after the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, physically takes possession of the watch.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform Automated Time of that decision by an unequivocal statement before the withdrawal period expires. This can be done by e-mail to info@automatedtime.be or by using the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page. Following the notification, the watch must be returned within fourteen calendar days at the latest.
During the withdrawal period the watch may only be inspected, handled and tried on to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, just as would be possible during a viewing at our premises. The watch may not be actually worn or taken into normal use.
The watch must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered, together with all accompanying parts and accessories including, where applicable, the original box, documents, certificates, tags, protective stickers, links, straps and other items supplied.
The consumer is liable for any diminished value resulting from handling that goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the watch. A demonstrable diminution in value may be set off against the amount to be refunded.
The direct costs of returning the watch are borne entirely by the consumer. Given the nature and high value of our watches, every return shipment must:
The costs of the return shipment, secure packaging, specialist carrier and full transport insurance are borne by the consumer. Please contact Automated Time before shipping, so that a safe and practical return procedure can be agreed. The consumer may:
Where Automated Time organises the return shipment, the actual direct costs of transport and insurance are communicated to the consumer in advance. Upon agreement, these costs are either invoiced separately or set off against the amount to be refunded. This prior contact serves solely to organise a safe and insured return and does not limit the statutory right of withdrawal.
The consumer remains responsible for the watch, and for a correct and sufficiently insured return shipment, until the watch has been received by Automated Time. Automated Time is not liable for loss, theft or transport damage during a return shipment organised by the consumer. This provision does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.
Following a valid withdrawal, Automated Time refunds all payments received, including the costs of the cheapest standard delivery offered by us. The refund is made without undue delay and in any event within fourteen calendar days of the day on which we were informed of the withdrawal, using the same means of payment as the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; no fees are charged for the refund. Any additional costs resulting from a more expensive delivery method chosen by the consumer are not refunded. Automated Time may withhold the refund until the watch has been received back, or until the consumer has supplied evidence of having returned the watch, whichever comes first.
Upon receipt, the watch is checked for:
A demonstrable diminution in value resulting from unnecessary use, wearing, damage, missing parts or handling beyond what was necessary may be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
The statutory right of withdrawal applies only to consumers, for contracts concluded entirely at a distance or off-premises. It does not apply to:
Collection at our premises does not automatically exclude the right of withdrawal where the contract was already concluded entirely at a distance.
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. You can copy it into an e-mail to info@automatedtime.be, or request a printable copy from us.
